Why Beaumont Builders Choose Steel
Metal buildings in Beaumont serve two kinds of owners: contractors who work around the Port of Beaumont and the Golden Triangle refineries, and homeowners who need carports, garages, workshops or enclosed boat storage. Steel buildings cover both; a contractor’s shop can add an office from our metal office buildings.
Looking for a metal building company or contractor near Beaumont? We are a dealer of pre-engineered steel building kits: American-made steel and drawings stamped by a licensed professional engineer, delivered to your parcel. Your crew or a local erector puts the building up; if you want installation arranged, ask when you request the quote.
Jefferson County sits on the Gulf, so your drawings carry a design wind speed calculated for the parcel under ASCE 7, and the ASCE Hazard Tool shows the mapped value by address. Hurricane Rita and Harvey’s record rain both hit here; our guide on whether steel can withstand a hurricane covers the frame. Humid air puts insulation and ventilation in the quote. For windstorm insurance, the TDI inspection program applies; see our Texas codes and coastal wind rules section. Your zone and permit office are in the permits section below.

Beaumont Building Permits and Local Codes
First confirm which side of the city line your parcel is on. Inside Beaumont, the City of Beaumont Building Codes Division issues permits through its online portal. Port Arthur, Nederland, Port Neches and Groves run their own permit offices; on unincorporated Jefferson County land, contact the county’s Environmental Control office before you start.
Your package includes PE-stamped drawings with your parcel’s design wind speed, load calculations, specifications and an anchor bolt layout. The city’s checklist asks how the building is fastened to the ground, and the bolt layout gives your foundation contractor that answer. Drawings follow the code edition in force when you file.
Beaumont’s accessory building checklist requires a windstorm certification from a Texas-registered engineer for buildings of 120 square feet or more. Jefferson County has three TDI windstorm zones with different design wind speeds; your address sets the zone. A mapped floodplain needs a floodplain permit, and zoning review covers what your lot allows.

What a Steel Building Costs in Beaumont
Every Beaumont quote is a custom configuration priced on size, finish and parcel loads. The local drivers are coastal wind and, on wide spans, frame weight. For dollar figures on a popular shop size, see our 40×60 metal building cost guide.
Garages and boat buildings usually run 20×25 to 30×40, and so do carports with an enclosed bay. Contractor shops and small warehouses land between 40×60 and 60×80. A warehouse can reach 100×100, where frame steel drives most of the price.
Coastal wind calls for a heavier frame and more anchorage, with doors rated for the design wind speed. A floodplain parcel adds anchoring and can set the floor height. Windstorm certification inspections during construction are budgeted apart from the kit.
Most Beaumont lots are flat, and a slab is the usual base. Beaumont clay drains poorly, so building up the pad is a call for your foundation contractor. Our part is an anchor bolt layout that matches the pour.

Design Your Building NowServing Beaumont and Surrounding Jefferson County
We deliver across Jefferson County, including Port Arthur, Nederland, Port Neches and Groves, and to the bordering Orange, Hardin, Liberty and Chambers counties. That covers Southeast Texas around Beaumont, from Orange, Vidor and Bridge City to Lumberton, Silsbee, Liberty and Winnie.
We don’t have a branch office in Beaumont. All orders are handled from our main office in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Call with your parcel address, and one representative stays on your project from the quote through delivery.
Low lots turn soft after heavy rain, and a waterfront parcel on Sabine Lake or the Neches may have a dirt drive. Describe the road and the pad, and we check access before a truck is dispatched. In hurricane season, delivery dates are confirmed close to shipping. For boat and RV storage, see our recreational steel buildings.

From Quote to Installed Building
Send the width, length and height, your Jefferson County ZIP code and what the building is for. Say if you plan windstorm coverage or the lot is in a floodplain. We calculate the wind load for that site and return a line-item quote with the PE drawing package and anchor bolt layout.
Your PE-stamped drawings go with whoever files, you or your contractor, to the City of Beaumont Building Codes Division or, outside city limits, to Jefferson County Environmental Control for its development and floodplain permit. For windstorm certification, a TDI or TDI-appointed inspector checks the work in stages. Plan reviewer questions on the engineering come straight to us.
Lead time and the production and delivery schedule are confirmed at order; we don’t quote them in advance. The kit arrives pre-cut and pre-drilled for your crew or a local erector, and access to the pad is checked before the truck leaves.
Beaumont Steel Building Questions
Yes. We deliver throughout Jefferson County, including Port Arthur, Nederland, Port Neches and Groves, and to neighboring Orange, Hardin, Liberty and Chambers counties. Send the parcel address with your quote request; on a low lot we confirm truck access first. Orders run through our main office in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Inside city limits, the City of Beaumont Building Codes Division issues the building permit, and a site in a mapped floodplain also needs a floodplain permit. On unincorporated land, start with Jefferson County Environmental Control. You or your contractor file, and we supply the PE-stamped engineering package.
The kit and its PE-stamped drawings come from us, delivered to your site, and your own crew or a local erector you hire assembles it from the drawings and the anchor bolt layout. If you want installation arranged, ask when you request the quote.
It is a Texas Department of Insurance certificate showing that the building meets the windstorm code for its zone; a new building needs one before it is eligible for a TWIA windstorm policy. A TDI inspector or an appointed engineer inspects during construction. No kit is “hurricane-rated” by itself; our drawings carry your parcel’s design wind speed. Tell us at the quote stage if you plan coverage.
Yes. We supply carports and enclosed kit buildings with doors tall enough for a boat on its trailer, for properties on Sabine Lake or the Neches River. Measure the rig on its trailer, T-top or tower included, and we set the door height from that.
